K. Pettigrew
Kenny has a wealth of knowledge of the bagpipe and is a respected player having
played at the highest level in Grade One with the Glasgow Skye Association and the
Boghall and Bathgate Pipe Bands. However his major impact on the piping world is
as a maker of bagpipes.
Kenny served his time as an apprentice wood-turner under his father,
James Pettigrew. Jim began wood-turning with R.G. Hardie in 1955 where
he was apprenticed to Bob Hardie and Kenny is very much the next link in this chain
of distinction. |
